asdftool software package provides Command line tool to manipulate ASDF scientific data files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install asdftool
asdftool is installed in your system.
Make ensure the asdftool package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep asdftool *
You will get with asdftool package name, version, architecture and description in a table
